Capital Pub Company has successfully raised more than £2.8m through the placing of 2.8 million new shares at a price of 103p each. The group, led by Clive Watson, had permission to issue a further 5,571,000 shares in the company following its AGM. Moorfield Capital, the property investor, acquired 900,000 of the shares. Watson, Capital's chief executive, subscribed for 25,000 shares, taking his holding to 8.12% — down from 9.02%. Nick Collins, finance director, acquired 10,000 shares and now has a 1.04% stake in the company — down from 1.12%.
