Japan's answer to Delia Smith is planning to expand her kitchenware empire to Britain. Harumi Kourihara, whose cookbooks have sold seven million copies, aims to make Japanese cuisine "easy". The Japanese food market has grown by 200% in Britain in recent years and is expected to be worth £13m by 2005.
