Cervejaria Cintra of Brazil has launched a five-year investment plan which will see it open one of four new breweries in May.

The new $58m (£40.5m) Cintra brewery near the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, will be able to produce 150m litres of beer, 30m litres of soft drinks and 30m litres of mineral water a year.

It is expected to generate annual revenues of $23m (£16m).

The other three breweries will open in Brazil.
