Worthing police have hit upon a novel way of dispersing rowdy underage drinkers that congregate by the Sussex seafront every weekend. They blast them with Classic FM arias and string quartet music from a van fitted with loudspeakers. Restaurateur Paul Wybourne said the van, dubbed Operation Brahms and Liszt, had been an instant success. Another restaurateur, Yvonne Norman, who owns Luna restaurant, said customers had been too frightened to come in and it had had to escort older people to their taxis.
