Booths, the upmarket North West-based food retailer, is to introduce a new ice cream parlour when its opens its 26th store – as the retailer ups its foodservice elements. The parlour will serve ice cream provided by Scoop! the north west producer that already has its own kiosk at Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington and recently opened a second site in Preston. The introduction of an ice cream parlour at its Hesketh Bank store comes after the group extended the hours at its flagship restaurant. The 26-strong group said that later openings on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays would allow its Artisan restaurant in Kendal, Cumbria, to serve dinner. The restaurant is located in the basement of the group’s flagship store and has recently relaunched its menu and appointed an operations manager.
