The UK arm of Nando’s made losses of £23m on sales of £167m in the 36 weeks to February 2009, according to documents filed at Companies House. The performance showed a widening of losses from £20m the year before. The directors of the company said they were satisfied with the performance but said that rising raw ingredient costs and slower consumer spending had eaten into profits.
