Delegates at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham will be given cut-price admission to a lap-dancing club. But veteran Tory MP Ann Widdecombe has branded it “a disgrace”. Vouchers for a £10 discount to the city’s Rocket Club, described as an “executive gentlemen’s club” offering “first class entertainment to the discerning business visitor”, are included with the official conference guide. Visitors are told that the staff are friendly but they “must not touch the dancers at any time”. Also on offer are discounts to city restaurants and leisure activities.
