Domino’s Pizza, the home-delivery pizza chain, is to replace mopeds with pedal power. The group is to trial pushbikes, which are cheaper to run and faster, it says, through traffic. Domino’s is launching the scheme at its City outlet in Queen Street with 10 bicycles and hopes others will follow. Each bike is able to carry eight boxes of pizza, drinks and desserts. It is estimated each delivery will be five minutes faster.
