C&C Group will have to look for a new distributor if Pernod Ricard succeeds in buying Allied Domecq. Allied distributes 70% of the company’s spirits and liqueurs and Pernod owns products that compete directly with C&C’s. Brokers remain bullish about C&C, however, with consensus earnings of Eu115m (£78m) when it issues its first full-year results next year. And brokers estimate earnings growth could almost double over five years if the roll out of the Magners cider brand in England and Wales is as successful as it has been in Scotland.
