Interim results from Diageo on Thursday are expected to show reviving fortunes since it gave a sober earnings estimate in November. Teather & Greenwood is predicting a £1.2bn pre-tax profit, compared to £1.16m last year. The company is also set to produce a lower-alcohol version of Guinness. This will be tried out in pubs in Limerick next month with the hope of arresting falling Guinness sales.
