Starbucks has announced the launch of one click, free high-speed wi-fi access for all its customers in the UK. The move means that customers no longer have to be members of the chain’s rewards programme to access free wi-fi The new offering features a one-click entry point, so a username or password will not be required. The company said the new initiative reflected a broader move to prepare for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Other initiatives in line with this move include a suite of store redesigns and openings, such as in Westfield Stratford last month Brian Waring, vice president marketing & category for Starbucks UK & Ireland, said: “This summer the UK will have millions of visitors from around the world for London 2012 and they’ll be able to stay in touch with a single click in Starbucks.
