Starbucks reported a 21% year-on-year increase in consolidated net revenues for August, to $508m (£280m). On a comparable store sales basis, sales at company-operated stores increased by 7% for the four weeks to 28 August. Jim Donald, Starbucks’ president and chief executive, said: "During August, we continued to see strong customer demand for Starbucks handcrafted beverages, particularly our new Tazo Green Tea platform. "Our food programme enhancements also contributed positively to strong revenue growth."
