Le Pain Quotidien, the continental coffee shop and bakery, has acquired its 11th site located in Hampstead with plans to open the outlet in September. The company purchased the site of the former Hamburger Union on South End Road from Hugh Fowler, who put the restaurant on the market after selling most of his UK estate to the Aberdeen Steak House. Le Pain in the UK, which is run as a master franchise of the Belgian-based company, currently only has units in London. Davis Coffer Lyons handled the deal.
