Tiki Café, a new coffee shop company specialising in organic fair trade products, is to open is first store in Finchly Road, London, at the end of January next year. The 60-cover site will offer freshly made coffees and smoothies, plus sandwiches, bagels and Belgium waffles. Erdal Mehmet, founder and managing director of Tiki, told M&C Report that the company, which is backed by private investment, was looking to add four more sites during 2007. Talks over a second site in Notting Hill are currently underway, with an opening planned for the end of March.
